Launching Scotland’s largest urban office park.

Forming part of the massive Clyde Gateway regeneration programme and located only 10 minutes' drive from Glasgow city centre, Magenta urban office park will play a significant role in the ongoing redevelopment of Glasgow’s East End.

With major infrastructure projects including the M74 extension, new Dalmarnock Station and A728 Clyde Gateway now completed, Glasgow’s East End is experiencing a renaissance, attracting residents and new businesses to the area helping to create a vibrant new community.

Occupying an 11 acre site on the south bank of the River Clyde, Magenta required a striking brand and compelling marketing collateral to launch this exciting new initiative.

Magenta Brand

As part of the Magenta site preparation a new £5 million ‘Smartbridge’ was constructed linking Dalmarnock and Shawfield on either side of the River Clyde and improving access to the new transport hub that has been developed around Dalmarnock train station. The ‘Smartbridge’ so called because it incorporates cable ducting for power and high speed broadband, is highly visible from the main roads surrounding the site and has a distinctive curved structure that’s illuminated at night. Taking a lead from this structure we created a brand that referenced the bridge and at the same time created the ‘M’ of Magenta.

To support individual presentations, branded bespoke hardbacked books were produced giving an overview of the area and a flavour of what was to come within the first phase of the development.

Working closely with the film company Make Shorty, a pacy two-minute film was produced to help position the East End as a wonderful place to live and work. The film featured a circular route taken by a runner that started and finished at Magenta. The route emphasised the outstanding sporting opportunities the area offers courtesy of the legacy of the 2014 Commonwealth Games, the ease of access to the city centre including the ‘green corridor’ commute via Richmond Park and Glasgow Green and the excellent public transport and amenity provision. A twenty second segment from the film also featured in the email campaign that was prepared for the launch of Magenta.

A website that worked across all platforms was designed that included information about the opportunities at Magenta along with the option to view the film.

Having numerous large structures already onsite gave us the opportunity to create some memorable signage throughout the development. We adopted a vibrant colour palette using magenta, black and white and this strong, contrasting colour scheme and the strapline ‘Make Work Wonderful’ helped to announce the arrival of Magenta.
